Having tried various bit of metal to bow, I finally agreed with all those Music Hall players of old that the saw is a very good instrument. Have you heard Kev Hopper play it? – simply divine. I have a Sandvikers Stradivarius, but my current favourite is the 22 inch from Wickes at the special price of £2.49. It's bendy and has a sweet tone with a range of an octave and a fifth from E and almost fits in a handbag. It's also fun to play with the harmonics and multi-phonics. I was hired to play it for a ninja-tunes party.

The example here just shows a bit what I can do with it, melody or stranger stuff.
